The Continuing Adventures of Shoe Girl

ShoeGirlFull11It’s been a rainy summer; and fall is right around the corner.  The good news?  Boots are back!  Neutral, earthy tones are everywhere. There are some fun shoe picks for the fall season ahead.  I did my shopping at Belk, but these brands are available everywhere!

This season’s casual pick is Lucky’s “Davie.”  It is reminiscent of a saddle shoe, but without the distracting two tones.  Available in Brown or Black, these flats are cute yet old-fashioned, and would lend themselves well to any fall outfit (skinny jeans anyone?) ~ or even a “Goodbye, Summer” skirt.  The leather upper provides a soft, comfortable fit.  Regular: $79.00

I fell in love with Coach’s “Paola” instantly.  It’s a classy dress shoe with a great heel height of 2.5″.  The peep toe will show off your sweet fall pedicure (and give you a reason for a pedi!).  A cute bow and Coach charm adorn the C-covered shoe, giving it even more personality. Available in Black and Brown to dress up any work outfit.  Regular: $158.00

On my shopping trip, I noticed TONS of fringe.  The Minnetonka brand had many options, but I chose the “697T” style for it’s ease of wear.  There is a zipper on the inside for easy on/off, and a padded insole for extra comfort.  There were taller styles, but fringe can be scary if it’s your first time so the shorter style may be easier to try out.  Available in Taupe and Brown.  Regular: $57.95

The bonus pick for the fall season is Bare Traps “Pearce.”  There is a short 1.5″ heel, and the metal embellishments at the top keep the boot fun and funky.  This boot with a buckle is simple enough to wear with dresses, but substantial enough to wear with jeans.  The “Brush Brown” color would mesh well with just about any outfit.  Regular: $99.00

There are plenty of ways to get into fall!  Pick up some Not-Quite-Ready-Yet peep toes, or go all the way with some fringe-tastic boots.  Either way, have fun shopping!!
