Continuing Adventures of Shoe Girl

Volume 2, Chapter 1
Avasting Everlasting

I’m not sure what the groundhog predicted, but Spring is coming to a store near you.

Shops are getting in tons of spring shoe shipments, giving you a head start on Easter shopping and warmer weather wears.

Just check out these fabulous spring picks!

Sperry Top-Sider "Bahama 2-Eye" with Sequins ($75)

Boat shoes are popping up everywhere this season.  From designers like Ralph Lauren to Alex Marie, and with looks that are demure to flamboyant, there’s a pair for every personality!

I prefer the Sperry Top-sider brand, which has been around since 1935.  The “Bahama 2-Eye” is a classic style; and this season there’s a twist with a splash of sequins or a fun plaid pattern.

Sperry Top-Sider "Bahama 2-Eye" Plaids ($60)

True boat shoes, these Sperry’s have a non-marking rubber outsole with razor-cut Wave-Siping™ for dry/wet traction.

Sequin styles available in Pink, Gold, Silver, Green, Orange, Red and Yellow for $75.00 Plaid styles available in Green, Navy, Pink and Tan. $60.00

Lucky "Grace" Wedge ($89)

Lucky’s “Grace” is a surprisingly lightweight wedge that is also a perfect seasonal transition shoe.  Simple braided detailing makes it feminine but serious; and the metal button detail (not pictured) lets you know you’re lucky!

This 3.5″ stacked heel is a great accessory for causal spring dresses, yet trendy enough for jeans.  Offered in extended sizes and available in Black and Camel. $89.00

Gianni Bini’s “Marilyn” is a fabulous heel for Spring.  The studs add a very pretty shimmer to dress up jeans or hold up with something more formal.  A ribbed outsole helps steady the impressive 4.5″ heel.

Gianni Bini "Marilyn" Heel ($79)

Eleven reviews at Dillards.com award this shoe 4.5 stars out of 5, attesting to its great look and feel.  Available in White, Ceylon, Black, Red and Sierra Tan. $79.00

There were SO many super shoes this season that you get two bonuses!  They’re fun takes on the casual boat shoe:

Gianni Bini "Ahoy" Peep Toe Pump ($79)

First is Gianni Bini’s “Ahoy” peep toe pump.  There’s a nod to the nautical with the rope detail.  A 4.5″ heel with platform makes these a fun every-day shoe.  Extended sizes offered!  Available in Navy/White, Red/White, Black/White and Black. $79.00

Gianni Bini "Matey" Flat ($59.99)

Gianni Bini’s “Matey” (get it?) is the sea-inspired ballet flat mate to “Ahoy.”  Keep your spring dresses light and casual with these flats.  Again, extended sizes offered!  Available in Navy/White, Lemon/White, Natural/Dark Amber and Black. $59.99

I had to get this post in quickly because there are more spring shoes arriving weekly.  And, though I’m pretty fast, I could hardly pick which shoes to bring you!

Sneak peek bonus!

Shoe Girl's Alter Ego, Kelli Leach

Kelli is actually a crazy cat lady, but with good fashion sense.

She never misses an episode of Castle or Modern Family, and is very fond of naps.

In her spare time off the couch she enjoys keeping a diary, belly dancing at UNCA and going out on the town.

The words she lives by?  “Hakuna Matata.”

Comments

  1. I love those plaid boat shoes! I am so cheap about shoes, but I think I might give in this season and buy some – especially because they’d be perfect for my upcoming safari. Maybe not pink sequins though . . . haha

  2. Cat says

I SO wish I could wear that Marilyn heel! It’s way too high for me, but wow, what a gorgeous shoe. I may have to console myself with the ballet flats instead.

a peep out of you
